Happy Hour Event – Increasing climate resilience of our cities through sustainable urban water management

Within the Circle U seed fund program, a project was initiated by some Circle U climate chairs to launch regular short hybrid scientific events which are called ‘Circle U Climate Hub Happy Hour Event’. The objective of such a Happy Hour Event (HHE) is to strengthen the partnership between Circle U partners in the “Climate Change Knowledge Hub”. The format of a HHE is a short scientific hybrid thematic event (typically lasting no more than 3 hours), consisting in two keynote lectures, followed by a debate, a set of small pitch presentations and a final debate. The HHE is targeted to academics, doctoral and post-doctoral researchers of the different partners involved in Circle U.

The first hybrid HHE will be organised on 24 november 2022, from 13h-16h, at UCLouvain, Louvain-la-Neuve and by Teams.  The thematic field that is proposed for this HHE is “Increasing climate resilience of our cities through sustainable urban water management”. The HHE is co-organised with the Louvain4Water consortium.

The web site of the HHE,  the free registration form, and the call for pitch presentations,  is now available at the HHE web site at: https://uclouvain.be/en/research/louvain4water/24-11-2022-circle-u-climate-hub-1st-happy-hours-event.html

Deadline for free registration is 17/11/22. Participation and pitch presentations will be certified by the organising team and can be included in the research portfolio of participants.
