The Faculty of Agriculture follows the European pattern of a three-year general degree (Laurea) and a five-year specialistic degree (Laurea specialistica) in accordance to the reform recently introduced at the University of Pisa.
Students can choose from a range of combinations of subjects, sometimes making their selections from more than one faculty.
The course structure is regularly reviewed and developed. The curricula are planned in collaboration with qualified experts, professionals and entrepreneurs who can give an extra-academic contribution, assuring a constant interaction with the "world of employment". |
Students have a tutor to assist them in their study planning. Tutors are appointed the teaching staff of the study courses.
There is no number limitation to courses and attendance to classes is not compulsory. General University rules (published by the University in the month of July) are followed for matriculation.
Each course devotes at least 1/3 of the total number of hours to experimental activities, either in the laboratory or in the field. In order to monitor the quality of courses, evaluation questionnaires are filled in by both students and external experts. |
